FAQ · Fees and pricing

How much does a buyers agent cost in Newcastle?

There are typically two fee models you’ll find: percentage-based and fixed-fee.

Percentage-based models generally run from 1.5% to 3% of the purchase price plus GST.

Fixed fees generally sit somewhere between $8,000 and $40,000 plus GST, depending on the city, the price bracket, and how much of the process the agency handles. Auction bidding is a nominal price in comparison, since it’s a one-off engagement.

Fees aren’t regulated and no industry body sets them — they’re whatever an agency decides, based on how much of a service they offer. That’s why the range is so wide.

These are national figures. Fees in regional markets generally sit below capital city equivalents, because median prices and fees scale together.

We’ve adopted a fixed-fee model because we believe it’s more transparent. We also don’t believe we should get paid more simply because you pay more for a property — our absolute priority is the best possible result for you. Our fees start from $8,500, and increase depending on the price point, nature of the purchase, package, and how much of the service you want included.
